Damien Weighill has been working on a collaborative project with other illustrators for the Story Museum. The creative team collated 26 different celebrated childhood literacy characters and asked different illustrators along with Damien to bring the poems to life with visually exciting designs. The different writers who contributed to the project were each allocated a letter of the alphabet to start their poem with and the illustrators designed the letters. How very apt that Damien got a ‘D’. Interesting fact? The cover graphic plays on the reflecting typographic forms of the numbers 2 and 6, rendered in charcoal.
