McDonald’s UK has launched a new campaign to promote the latest speciality coffee to join the McCafé range; the Mocha. The TV commercial by Leo Burnett shares a bunch of everyday life ‘tricky moments’ which are resolved by taking a coffee break.
Alison Carmichael’s hand-crafted lettering skills were enlisted to craft the outdoor executions, 48 and 6 sheet posters which supported the overall campaign message. Her elegant chalk typography hints at the nostalgia of café culture chalkboards. In her first execution the Mocha is introduced whilst the second presents the full McCafé range. photographed by Jason Lowe.
