How jelly Kitchen handcrafted the #FreeTheJoy animations

Thu 05 Mar 2015

The jelly Kitchen has been busy hand crafting seven stop motion animations for Cadbury’s, but just how did they do it?

Using a combination of After Effects and coloured paper the Kitchen team created the hand crafted magic but one, Turkish. Why ?

“Turkish delight features a Snake made from chocolate pieces. Using real chocolate for this script would be difficult and time consuming to do in stop motion. Instead we used 3D techniques to produce the snake character. Using photographic textures and a mixture of Zbrush and C4D we were able to create realistic looking chunks of Dairy Milk Turkish delight which formed the dancing snake.”
