Kineticmesh was commissioned by Cedar on behalf of O2 Magazine to create the background for their April front cover. He crafted a landscape in 3D with Synkro, ITAL TEK and Elizabeth Rose on Sound Cloud to keep him company. The work took many hours to complete powered by dark roast Columbian coffee, peanut butter and damson jam on toast. He completed the scene using a combination of hard modelling, displacement and bump mapped textures to re-create the complex shapes and patterns of the ceramic lamp designs.
Steve, along with the clients was really pleased with how the image came out, considering the strict deadline they were working to. You can find Steve's technically crafted illustrations on the front cover in O2 retail outlets across the country now.
