Award-winning hand lettering artist, Alison Carmichael was interviewed for Issue 3 of The Hunger.
This is the second time Alison has featured in the biannual magazine from English photographer and publisher, Rankin; back in May, the magazine featured her hand lettered words like 'nude' and 'beauty' (read more here!)
This time, she was interviewed about her advertising work. Here's a snippet:
Do you think you can get away with writing pretty much anything if it’s presented in a beautiful way?
Not necessarily, it very much depends on the context of what you are doing. I work commercially, so I am given very short, stringent guidelines. I work with copywriters so I don’t get to choose what I write unless I’m doing personal work.
